My Blog Nomination

What Is The Encouraging Blogger Award?

The Encouraging Blogger Award was created to recognize any blogger who encourages others with his or her posts. Bloggers may encourage others to travel, try new things, have a positive mindset, or overcome adversity, for example. An encouraging blog may encourage other bloggers or give business tips. Many blogs are encouraging and we don’t even realize it. Bloggers nominate fellow bloggers for this award, and nominees write a post answering a few questions. After that, the nominee nominates other bloggers.

 Who Nominated CrazyFitnessGuy

Who Nominated CrazyFitnessGuy?

I was nominated by Cindy who runs a website called Cindy Goes Beyond which is a website about Life’s Journey that features a new theme each year. Her desire is to encourage readers to live a life beyond the edges of fear, comfort zones, and limiting beliefs.

Thanks to Cindy for nominating me and my blog it’s truly an honor to get nominated for an award.  There are some days when I feel like giving up because something is not going right but readers and bloggers like you keep me going.

When Did I Start Blogging?

I officially started blogging on April 12th, 2017.  However, this was not my first attempt at blogging. The very first blog I tried was a food critic but that didn’t work so well especially because I was trying to blog on Facebook.

The next blog I tried after that was a movie reviewer still on Facebook and that was a bust.  After that, I tried being a photography blog but that didn’t keep me interested. Then around the 8th time, I had one blog that I thought was doing well but it was just full of negative energy.

I basically complained about everything on that website. I am not going to bother mentioning the name because I am trying to forget about that website.  So I finally gave up that website and quit for a year and then for the 9th try I started this website.

But it was known as a different name at the time back in 2017 but I can’t share the name with anyone because by accident it infringed upon another website name.  To be fair I didn’t know there were internet laws with trademarks and copyright. I knew there were symbols but I didn’t know what they meant.

Why Did I Start Blogging?

I started blogging because I wanted to continue practicing the writing skills that I learned in my writing class in college.  If I was going to continue writing I wanted a way that kept me consistent and not just writing in Microsoft Office in my free time.

So I started blogging so I can show up consistently every week to practice and maintain the writing skills that I never had until I was in college.

What Is My Advice For Other Bloggers

What Is My Advice For Other Bloggers?

I am only speaking from experience when I tell you there will be days that you feel like giving up.  The people around you might not understand what the life of a blogger looks like. People have a misconception about blogging that it’s only about personal stuff.

Well, they are wrong because all the brands around the web have blogs and they include information material.  Some of those blogs include blog posts about new app updates etc. The definition of blogging has changed and no matter what people think, just prove them wrong.

Start telling the people in your life about the traffic, stats, and subscribers interacting with your content.  If they don’t believe you start showing proof with screenshots, data, etc. For those people who don’t believe you after that stop trying to be a people pleaser.

You should only care what you think and if you want to run a blog then who cares what other people think.  They will be people who don’t think of what you do as a job, just ignore them and let the proof talk for itself.
