My Grammarly Review

What Is Grammarly?

Grammarly is an extension that is compatible with Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft's new Chromium Edge Browser, Opera, and all of the other Chromium-based browsers. It helps people edit papers, documents, etc.

It also does spell checking and other features as well. I will mention them a little later.

Who Uses Grammarly?

Bloggers, students, and many other people who enjoy writing. I personally use it myself to check for spelling mistakes, missing punctuation, and many other errors when it comes to writing.

What Is The Point Of Grammarly?

Grammarly helps people like myself write with more confidence. I used to ask my friend to help me proofread my blog posts before I published it. One day I decided that I needed to start editing these posts myself or nothing will get published in time.

So I decided to sign-up for a free account to use Grammarly and it does exactly what I wanted it to do. If I didn't have Grammarly I don't think I could write blog posts for the internet because I would be too scared to make mistakes.

What Can Grammarly Help Me With?

Grammarly can help you with the following:

  • Punctuation

  • Spelling

  • Proofreading

  • Confidence

  • Helps you become a better writer

How Accurate Is The ProofReading Feature In Grammarly?

In my opinion, Grammarly does a great job of proofreading. However, some of their bigger suggestions are behind a paywall that I don't pay for. After using Grammarly so long I have noticed that I don't always need to use it because it has taught me where to place and remove commas.

But if you are an editor who does stuff the other fashion way and proofreads by hand without Grammarly, you might argue that Grammarly doesn't correct everything. Please note I never said that it corrects everything. Nothing is 100% accurate but it’s like 97% accurate in my opinion.

Is Grammarly Safe To Use?

Grammarly is 100% to use they do not see your passwords, bank information, and they don't log keystrokes on the keyboard like hackers. If it wasn't safe do you think I would use it? The answer to that question is no.

I don't use dangerous apps, products, and other services. I wouldn't recommend those to you.

How Much Does Grammarly Cost?

Grammarly subscription costs $29.95 if you pay monthly. You can also pay quarterly for $19.98 per month or $11.66 per month if you pay annually. But Grammarly has a free plan which I use daily when I write.

Is Grammarly Worth The Cost?

I don't know I will let you decide for yourself. Like I said before I personally use the free version because I find that’s all that I need for myself. But perhaps you may want more features like:

  • Readability

  • Vocabulary enhancements

  • Genre-specific writing style check

  • Plagiarism detector

If you want all of that then perhaps its worth but if you are someone like me with a limited budget. Then perhaps you really don't Grammarly premium version.

What Platforms Does Grammarly Support?

Grammarly has a Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Windows, Macs, and a mobile keyboard app for ios and Android. I just use the chrome extension because it’s convenient for me.

Grammarly Complaints

according to people who wrote reviews on their Trustpilot page, people complained that the premium version is not worth the money. Others complained that Grammarly kept charging them for their subscription even after canceling their subscription.

How Do I Use Grammarly?

Just sign-up for an account on Grammarly and install their extension for Chrome or whatever web browser that you use. Then sign-in to the extension and start writing in Google Docs or Microsoft Word. It will then start showing errors in red when Grammarly finds writing mistakes.

Is Grammarly Better Than Word?

In my opinion, Grammarly is so much better than word, and here's why. Microsoft Word does not seem to pick up the correct spelling for the word that I am trying to spell. No matter how far off I am from actually spelling the word correct Grammarly seems to figure out what word I was looking for.

I feel like I have more confidence in Grammarly than I do with Word spell-check.

Why Use Grammarly?

Grammarly has a lot of mixed reviews out there on the web. But if you want to know why you should use it then take a look at these reasons.

  • It’s free

  • Has accurate spell checking

  • It’s easy to use

  • Helps you to build confidence in your writing

  • Makes writing a little less painful

Other Sites Like Grammarly

  • White Smoke

  • Ginger

  • Slick Write

  • ProWritingAid

  • 1Checker

  • Hemingway

Conclusion:

Is Grammarly really worth it? In my opinion, Grammarly is worth it because it makes my life easier when I write papers for school, website, and everything else that I do online. It has a free option which is just fine for me.

Anyone who does a lot of writing should use Grammarly. Unless you a professional editor who knows how to edit everything perfectly then you don't need Grammarly. But if you are someone like me who struggles with perfect grammar and can't afford an editor then you should get Grammarly.
