Wendy Jenkins

Wendy Jenkins is a leading certified resilience coach – and as a lung transplant recipient – a living example of resilience. Wendy has coped with an enormous amount of stress and uncertainty in her life:
✔Given two years to live … over thirteen years ago
✔Run several businesses & changed careers three times
✔Sent to eight different schools & moved twenty times
Throughout her 20+ years professional career, including working at Royal Dutch Shell as a Senior People Practitioner dealing with local and international policy, teams and executives, it was often acknowledged that she was one of the most resilient people around. However she wasn’t always.
Today, Wendy shares her passion for neuroscience-based resilience, and her neuro and bio hacks to help busy people boost and sustain higher wellbeing and success. Wendy is a firm believer that the most successful humans aren’t the smartest or most outgoing people in the room, they’re the most resilient.
Wendy is also a Founder and Board member of the Lungitude Foundation, a registered Australian not-for-profit that focuses on facilitating world-class translational research, advocating for lung and organ transplant excellence, building a strong community of support, and educating key audiences.
Wendy’s story is truly one of resilience. A rollercoaster of life-altering surgery, trial medications that including Viagra, undertaking a trip of a lifetime, overcoming severe depression and PTSD, and coming to terms with a short life expectancy - then channelling it all to inspire and help others. It highlights that it’s your reaction to adversity, not adversity itself that determines how your life’s story will develop.
