Doug Katz – Veteran | Inventor | Adaptive Design Advocate
Doug Katz is a West Point graduate, disabled Army veteran, and founder of NULU—a kitchen knife designed around force transfer to reduce joint strain and increase control. After years of cumulative damage from military service, sports, and daily life, Doug needed a better solution in the kitchen. When none existed, he built one.
He’s now on a mission to show how smart, adaptive design can prevent injury, extend independence, and make everyday tasks like cooking safer for everyone—especially those with chronic pain, arthritis, or fatigue.
