If you have a fever greater than 101 degrees Fahrenheit, sit this one out. WebMD

Maharam's rule of thumb for exercising when sick? "Do what you can do, and if you can't do it, then don't," he says. "Most people who are fit tend to feel worse if they stop their exercise, but if you have got a bad case of the flu and can't lift your head off the pillow, then chances are you won't want to go run around the block." These two people think working out while sick is okay for you. Let’s see what people think about this as well.

While these other two people agree with the first two people from WebMD, Only one person from Time slightly disagrees with the two people from WebMD.

Only One Person Slightly Disagress About Working Out While Sick

But once you’ve caught a bug and are feeling crummy, the story changes. “Exercise is great for prevention, but it can be lousy for therapy,” Nieman says. Time

So if two people agree that working out while sick is okay, and then another two people slightly agrees and disagrees. Does that mean working out while sick is okay? The answer is no it’s not okay. I am going to share my opinion about working out while sick.

Working Out While Sick Is Not A Great Idea

So last year when I began my Karate classes again, I was just getting over being sick. Whatever, I had at that time was still lingering in my body. So I started on a Monday night I believe. During class I was sniffling a lot and it was very hard to breath with a congested system. I felt light headed and everything.

Working Out While Sick Again For Another Night

So during that first week I went back to Karate for another night. I thought I was feeling better, but then when I woke up the next morning my sickness came back. Whatever, I had came back and stayed with me for two long weeks.

Perhaps I Would Have Been Fine If…

Perhaps I would have been fine if understand working out while sick was a bad idea before I regret. Now whenever I get sick, I wait for a while before I workout again for the sinuses to go away before I attempt to workout again. So then I don’t have a relapse again with the sinuses.

Conclusion:

In my opinion working out while sick is a horrible idea because your sinuses may come back to bite you in the butt, like they did for me. Perhaps maybe you might get lucky and you are able to sweat it out. Just to be on the safe side perhaps just take a few days off from working out to let your body rest.
