Do You Eat Out At Resturants A Lot?

Do you and your family eat out at restaurants a lot?  I know that my family does.  You might be wondering how to make healthy choices when eating out?  If so that's what we are going to be discussing today.

What Kind Of Foods Do I Eat At Resturants?

My family and I like to eat out at different kind of restaurants like BBQ, Chinese, Mexican, Japanese, and Italian.  I like to eat certain kinds of food at each kind of restaurant.  Here are some examples that I like to eat at these kinds of restaurants.

Italian Restaurants

There are multiple Italian restaurants that my family and I like down at the shore and in PA.  There are a few things that I eat to stay healthy when eating out.  The first Italian restaurant at the shore I like to order a Caprese salad, salmon and a side of veggies.  The second Italian restaurant at the shore I like to order Caprese salad, any kind of fish or angel hair pasta with homemade meatballs.  Sometimes I notice at some restaurants they have whole wheat pasta which is healthier than pasta made out of flour.   When you get a salad at the restaurant make sure you ask for the dressing on the side and tell them don't bring the bread.

BBQ Resturants

I like to order salmon, chicken and sometimes a nice filet mignon at BBQ restaurants.  Another thing that I like to do is to stay away from BBQ sauce because they tend to have too much sugar in them.   Some of the sides that I like to get is either corn on the cobb or applesauce.  I stay away from baked beans because they are high in sodium.

Japanese Resturants

My favorite thing to eat at Japanese restaurants is Sushi.  I like tuna, salmon, avocado, mango, and salmon and avocado roll.  I suggest to only eat tuna in moderation because it's high in mercury.

Chinese And Mexican Resturants

I am still learning about what I could eat to keep eating healthy at Chinese and Mexican restaurants.  Once I figure that one out I will make another post about how to make healthy choices when eating out.
