Before The Back and Bicep Superset Workout

Before I dive into today’s workout I just want to be real with everyone and say today was extremely hard today for me. Not in a bad way, but I had to dig deep to continue to push through it. You will see what I am talking about when I get to in this post.

During Back and Bicep Superset Workout

There were three rounds of weightlifting today, then three sets of hiit exercises and then right into core. Let me tell you how I did during this workout.

During Round One of Back and Biceps Superset Workout

The first two exercises that were in the first round were:

  1. Row 30 pound dumbbells

  2. Hammer Curl 15 pound dumbbells

I think I probably could of went up in weight with my hammer curls but my left shoulder was bothering me today, so I didn’t really want to push my luck.

During Round Two of Back and Bicep Superset Workout

The next two exercises were:

  1. Reverse Fly 12 pound dumbbells

  2. Full Curl 15 dumbbells

I have increased my weights on the full curl to 15 pound dumbbells from 12 pounds, which was a highlight in today’s workout.

During Round Three of Back and Bicep Superset Workout

The last two weightlifting exercises were:

  1. Dumbbell Pullover - skipped

  2. Wide Curls 12 pound dumbbells

I went light weight on the wide curls since my shoulder was bothering me, but I still got a good pump out of it.

During The Hiit Round of Back and bicep Superset Workout

This is the round I was telling you about that I actually had to dig deep to finish this brutal workout. The exercises included were:

  1. Catchers Jump 60- seconds

  2. Wide Mountain - 45 seconds

  3. 180 Squat Jumps

Even though I modified during this whole entire round my shoulder had a big part in it. Every time I was in a high plank I felt a discomfort pain like someone was digging their fingernail in my shoulder. Sorry for being a little graphic, but that’s what it felt like.

During The Core Round of Back and Bicep Superset Workout

There were only two exercises in the core round and they were:

  1. Dumbbell Toe Reaches

  2. Straight Leg Bicycle Twist

I modified on both of these exercises by taking the dumbbell out of the dumbbell toe reaches. Then I just used bent legs in the bicycle twist one.

How to Harness the Power of Your Back and Bicep Superset Workout

So how do you harness the power of your back and bicep superset workout or any workout that you do? When the workout gets hard think about something that makes you happy like reading a book, listen to music, being finished, perhaps its a family gathering like Thanksgiving or Christmas. Sometimes digging deep is the only way to get through a workout.

Digging Deep Has Helped Me During Back and Bicep Superset Workout

When I was experiencing all that shoulder discomfort finishing up my workout today I was thinking about Thanksgiving and Karate. I was thinking about both because I am excited to see my cousins in Chicago that I haven’t seen in a year. I was thinking about Karate because I knew if I give up my Karate instructor wouldn’t be happy with me.

Next Time Try Digging Deep During Your Next Workout

Next time when you are feeling discomfort in a workout try to take your mind off of it. It can be anything in the whole wide world and see if that will help you get through your workout easier.

Conclusion

Digging deep has helped me through this tough back and bicep superset workout, I only have two more day left of week six of Liift4 and then comes the last two weeks of the program.
