Short Term And Long Term Goals For  2019

This year I am starting the year off with a big bang.  I am setting my short term and long term goals for 2019.  Are your goals ready yet, if not here are some examples?

Short Term Goal Examples For My Website

  • Update social media profiles description for each network - Tuesday

  • Include app download button in the newsletter - Tuesday

  • Optimize and update Android app and app listing in the Google Play Store Tuesday

These are short term goal examples for my website that I am going to work on tomorrow.  Now I want to share with you my personal short term goals that I want to be done before the end of the month.

Personal Short Term Goal Examples For Myself

  • Finish the 4th book in the Maze Runner Series - by the end of the month

  • Get myself organized before school - this Thursday

  • Get a replacement phone that I like - by the end of the month

  • Get my thank-you notes done - today

  • Finish my first SEO (Search Engine Optimization Book) - by the end of the month

Personal Long Term Goal Examples For My Website

Short term and long term goals are very different.  With short term goals, you don’t really have to be specific on how you are going to achieve them.  However, with long term goals, you should setup steps on how you are going to achieve them. Check out these long term goal examples.


  • Increase my readers on my website by the end of 2019

  1. Create better content that people actually want to read

  2. Research low competitive keywords that I can actually rank for in Google Search

  3. Add better pictures to my posts to keep people engaged longer

  4. Add youtube videos to posts which will also get the readers engaged



  • Increase my followers for my brand  on all social media platforms by the end of 2019

  1. Share more engaging posts with my followers

  2. Use the right hashtags to promote my posts

  3. Re-share other people content along with ours

  4. Thank our followers for following us

  5. Get certified social media strategist

As you can see I made those goals very specific on how I am going to achieve these goals.  I also specified that I want to achieve them by the end of 2019 so I am not going to measure my success until the of the year.  However, the readership goal I will measure at the end of each month and then look back at the end of the year.

Personal Long Term Goal Examples For Myself


  • Read 15 books before the end of 2019

  1. Read a book when I take a break from my school homework

  2. Read a book in the car when I am going to dinner with my parents

  3. Read a book on my phone when I am standing in line at a store

  4. Read a book while waiting for class to start



  • Feel less stress in 2019

  1. Organize emails into folders automatically when emails come in the inbox with filters

  2. Take breaks and walk away from homework when I am feeling stressed

  3. Ask myself if the problem is a little problem or a little problem

  4. Break tasks up in smaller chunks in my to-do list app

What's The Point Of This Short Term And Long Term Goals Post?

My point that I am trying to make in this short term and long term goals post is that don’t wait for the end of the year to make a list of goals for yourself.  Get cracking on them now. So far I have completed one. I have been organizing my emails into folders so I always know where I can find them from a particular sender.

Make 2019 Your Best Year Yet
